Rehabilitation for Drugs and Alcohol | 60+ Plan

Coverage for drug and alcohol rehabilitation to members and their families, including dependent children up to age 30.

Coverage Details:


  • Reimbursement Rate: 70% of the cost.

  • Lifetime Maximum: Up to $20,000 per person.


Eligible Treatments:


Residential Rehabilitation


  • Applicable for individuals undergoing inpatient treatment.

  • To claim reimbursement, members must submit a receipt and a letter or certificate of completion from the rehabilitation center to the IATSE Local 891 office.


Non-Residential Rehabilitation


  • Applicable for outpatient treatments.

  • Claimants need to submit the same documentation as for residential rehabilitation, along with an additional letter. This letter must come from:

    • A physician,

    • The Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) provider, or

    • The disability provider (Canada Life), confirming that non-residential treatment is appropriate.
